WorldToEnd explains what scientists, philosophers and religious scholars have said about how and when the world could end, in plain English and with every source linked. The question gets asked a lot, and the answers online tend to be either terrifying or useless. We try to be neither.

Some endings are measured in decades and depend on choices people make now, such as nuclear war, pandemics and artificial intelligence. Others are billions of years away and set by physics, like the Sun brightening or the universe running down. Faith traditions describe the end in moral and spiritual terms. We put all of these side by side and say clearly which is which.

Who runs WorldToEnd

WorldToEnd was founded by Nadir Yaqoob, who writes and edits every article. He reads the research papers, official statements, scripture and expert interviews behind each claim, then explains them for readers who want a straight answer without the hype.

What WorldToEnd is not

We are an information site. Nothing here is professional, financial, medical or religious advice, and no prediction we report is a certainty. Our disclaimer explains this in more detail.

The podcast

We’re preparing a podcast of long, calm conversations with people who study these questions: scientists, philosophers and religious scholars. If you research or write about any of them, or know someone who should be on the show, find out more.
